Peter Hoyt Named CEO of Stagnito, Edgell and P2PI

Path to Purchase Institute founder and chief executive officer Peter Hoyt has been named president and ceo of Eagle Holdings, the portfolio company formed by the acquisition of Stagnito Business Information, Edgell Communications and the Institute by RFE Investment Partners earlier this year.Hoyt will report to Alan Glass, executive chairman of Eagle Holdings, and continue to serve as executive director of the Institute. Stagnito + Edgell ceo Kollin Stagnito has resigned. The company's new executive team includes:chief brand officer Korry Stagnitochief customer officer Ned Bardicchief financial officer Chris Starkchief digital officer Joel Hugheschief human resources officer Greg FloresHoyt launched Shopper Marketing magazine (formerly P-O-P Times) in 1988 and has expanded the Institute over the past 28 years by creating a variety of events, online communities, professional development initiatives, publications, white papers and research efforts including p2pi.org, the Path to Purchase Expo, the Shopper Marketing Summit and StratConn.“No one understands the retail/CPG marketplace better than Peter Hoyt,” said Glass in a media release. “He brings a unique mix of experience to this new venture. During his 33-year career, he has created a revolutionary business model around community building, digital entrepreneurship and face-to-face programming. He will continue to build out this model as the company develops new products and adds targeted acquisitions in order to fully serve our customers’ marketing needs.”The combined company has nearly 200 employees, runs more than 50 events, and produces roughly 20 publications and websites including Progressive Grocer, Convenience Store News, Shopper Marketing and RIS News.
