Coffee Mate's 'Mean Girls' Creamer Gets the Spotlight at Target

A display ad on Target.com is showcasing a limited-edition “Mean Girls” pink frosting-flavored creamer from Nestle’s Coffee Mate.The ad promises 20% off the SKU and links to a promotional page positioning Coffee Mate’s first pink creamer as a way to “add a boost of fun to your day.” The page also plugs the brand’s Italian sweet creme and French vanilla flavors.Sold for $4.69, the “Mean Girls” creamer launched nationwide in January 2024, coinciding with both the 20th anniversary of Paramount Pictures' "Mean Girls" comedy and the Jan. 12 theatrical release of a remake. Coffee Mate is also promoting the SKU on Facebook and Instagram."We're not a regular creamer; we're a cool creamer,” Leonardo Aizpuru, Nestle vice president of brand marketing for the beverage division and business unit, said in a statement. “That's why Coffee Mate is thrilled to debut the category's first-ever pink creamer with Paramount's iconic ‘Mean Girls' movie. This partnership gives our fans a chance to add a splash of pink to their coffee as we celebrate the 20th anniversary of this nostalgic, quotable film."In other category activity, Danone North America’s International Delight is promoting a new line of cold foam creamers through Target.com display ads linking to a promotional page that touts the SKUs as a way to “become a barista at home.” International Delight also tapped Instagram and TikTok influencers to plug the line’s availability at Target.The French vanilla, caramel macchiato and sweet & creamy creamers launched nationally in January. They are sold for $5.49."As a leader in coffee beverages, International Delight knows consumers are looking for ways to recreate the coffee shop experience at home," Kallie Goodwin, Danone North America vice president of marketing, coffee creamers, said in a statement. "With International Delight cold foam creamer, we are delivering an innovative and convenient new way to effortlessly bring a foamy, creamy twist to your daily coffee ritual. This revolutionary product allows coffee lovers nationwide to revel in a foaming delicious, multi-sensorial experience with delightful flavors and texture in every sip."
