Purpose of Role
This role is responsible for developing Shopper Marketing plans and executions for Mars Petcare and its customer’s in the assigned channels. Plans will focus on utilizing the uncommon shopper, customer and category insight to develop and lead the implementation of full 360° solutions (e.g. in-store communications, navigation, aisle and shelf solutions, creative development and messaging, out-of-store activities (e.g. direct mail / events) that drive brand and category growth.
Principal Accountabilities:
• Lead the account shopper activation planning in collaboration with marketing, field customer teams, category management, shopper insights and retailer buying and marketing in support of corporate objectives.
• Present compelling shopper and category solutions to internal and external customers.
• Manage Shopper Marketing agency relationship and creative development for assigned customers.
• Manage the execution of shopper marketing programs enabling marketing and account team objectives while building brand equity and driving incremental merchandising and category growth.
• Support Shopper Marketing managers on the administration of priority customer activations.
• Maintain assigned budgets reporting at a detailed program level up to $1MM.
• Conduct pre and post program analysis providing recommendations to maximize ROI.
• Serve as marketing liaison between internal stakeholders (marketing, planning,) and field/customer teams.

• Strong creative thinker with the proven ability to development and activate breakthrough shopper solutions.
• Must have strong command skills with the ability to present and influence at various levels across the organization.
• Demonstrates the ability to apply macro trends, insights, channel, competition and industry knowledge to influence key customers.
• Must demonstrate highly developed project and vendor management skills.
• Clearly demonstrates the ability to organize and prioritize workload.
People Management Responsibility:
• Direct management of creative agencies, broker representatives and cross-functional teams.
Desired Qualifications:
• 4-year college degree; MBA a plus.
• 3 years of Brand Marketing, Shopper or Customer Marketing experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills.
• Ability to travel 50% of the time.
• Successful completion of a drug and background screen.
